Born in Emporia Virginia.......and raised up near a cross roads called Brink ... My Grand dad was a farmer, and I was able to look back into the past 50 years,, because when I was a child  we were still living that simple life, of yesteryear.  Growing our own food, keeping bees, making wine, we were

raising horses, and  hogs,  a smoke house full of pork products , chickens, , a barn with corn crib, and we often hunted and ate squirrel and rabbit.  Later in my grand fathers life he stopped farming and opened a general store. The type store that was shown on “Green Acres”.... with a pot belly stove in the corner...  He had hardware, and food, a refrigerated meat case. And a good supply of really tasty sharp cheese,,,,,, you know the round block , that was shipped in the round wooden box. Those baloney cheese and mayonnaise sandwiches never tasted so good.

My woodworking love affair began out of desire , the desire to catch more fish.....thus I built my first boat when I was 11, nothing fancy, but it did float and it was small enough for me to put it on my wheel barrel and transport it to the millpond, where I spend many summer days in Huckleberry Finn style adventures. Isolated yes, but restricted NO Sir! ...The Fields, Trees and Water ways were alive with adventure!  In fact the very nature of being raised in a rural area in relative “isolation” caused me to become more creative with few restrictions.

Along about that time the Spirit of God spoke to my heart and I received God's gift of salvation... I spent my high school years trapping fox and raccoon in the winter and fishing in the summer, During this time I got heavily interested and involved in knife making... with the occasional woodworking project thrown in.... after high school I found myself out in the real world and realized quickly that the things of this life were not satisfying, that is when I really started to study the Bible,,, and God filled me with Knowledge. And at the same time I began to get serious about creating things from wood........ I get my inspiration from everywhere and anywhere, I can look at something and see if differently than others my see it..... I have small visions... then I begin to develop those visions..

Sometimes it comes quickly sometimes it takes months...... but in the end I use my heart, hand and soul to create what I hope is a joyful masterpiece for everyone to enjoy.
